Biography:
Sharon Rosnick is a retired High School Guidance Counselor. Sharon has been an educator for over 30 years and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in education and Masters of Arts in Human Resources and Community Counseling and Guidance Counseling. She has worked with a variety of grade levels as both a Teacher and Guidance Counselor. Sharon has worked with students on improving their study skill, organizational skills, time management, homework routines and transition readiness from grammar school through leaving for college. Sharon has assisted students over the last 15 years to realize their dreams of going onto college from helping them with their college searches, college applications, scholarship searches and scholarship applications and moving forward to your next steps. Sharon continues to work independently as a college and carer counselor.
Peg Larson is a school social worker who maintains an active LCSW for the state of Illinois. She has a BS in Psychology and an MSW with a focus on clinical and school social work. Peg is also a certified autism specialist. She has worked with students for 20 years both individually, in small group, and classroom formats. She continues to work with students transitioning into high school, through out high school, and onto college. She has experience with special education students, mainstream students, 504 plan creation and implementation, IEP creation and implementation, transition planning, crisis intervention, group counseling, trauma counseling, classroom presentations, safe dating curriculum, transition curriculum, young women's issues curriculum, healthy choices curriculum, and stress management curriculum. In addition to being a school social worker she is the vice president of her local school board.
Sharon Rosnick, along with her Colleague Peg Larson have run a variety of support groups such as: Young Women’s Issues, Stress Management and Anger Management. Peg has created and managed 504 plans for students as well as has extensive experience working with a variety of families with special needs and IEP’s. Together they have also run seminars on Safe Dating, Cyber Bullying and Parenting your teenager.
